Vardy Community Historical Society strives to honor and enrich the lives of the Vardy Community and the Melungeon people through preservation of their history and culture. We organized in November 1997 in an effort to preserve the past for future generations and provide an avenue for the oral histories to be shared and safeguarded.

Vardy Community Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) public charity registered as an active nonprofit business entity in the state of Tennessee.
