Mahala’s Cabin Matted Print

Price range: $45.00 through $85.00

A print of an original painting by David Collins, on paper and finished with a white mat border.

The painting shows the Mullins family cabin, where Mahala (Collins) Mullins, known as “Aunt Haley” or “Big Haley,” ran her moonshining business. David brings the homeplace to life with smoke curling from the stone chimney, a fenced garden full of corn, chickens in the yard, a rooster perched on the rocks by the road, and hayfields stretching out beyond.

David donated these prints to the Vardy Community Historical Society. All proceeds go toward the museum roof restoration.
